Golf Pad Launches Click, a First-of-Its-Kind Way to Get More From Your Golf GPS Without Touching Your Phone

Press Release
For immediate releaseSeattle, WA · September 11, 2026
New $39.99 Bluetooth button puts GPS distances, course information, club recommendations and shot tracking just a click away.

Seattle, WA: Golf Pad, the golf GPS and game-tracking app trusted by golfers around the world, today announced the launch of Golf Pad Click, a first-of-its-kind Bluetooth golf button designed to give golfers the information and tracking features they want on the course without constantly reaching for their phone.

Small enough to clip securely to a belt, pocket, hat, golf bag or other convenient location, Click turns many of Golf Pad's most useful on-course features into simple button presses.

The idea behind Click started with a problem Golf Pad has been working to solve for years: shot tracking should be easier. Automatic tracking can be unreliable. Manually recording every shot on a phone can become tedious. Wearable devices aren't for everyone, and dedicated tracking Tags require golfers to build a new routine into every shot.

Click offers another way.

With the phone kept on the golfer, ideally in a pocket or belt case for the most accurate GPS positioning, a golfer can simply press Click as they play. There's no need to pull out the phone, unlock it or navigate through the app.

One Click for Information. Two Clicks to Track.

Golf Pad Click is fully customizable, allowing golfers to decide what a single click and double click should do. A golfer could set one click to hear the distance to the front, middle and back of the green, while two clicks records the shot, or configure Click around the information and actions that matter most to their game.

How Golf Pad Click works: click once to hear GPS information, click twice to track a shot, and keep playing with your phone in your pocket

Available options

  • Front, middle and back green distances
  • Distance to the middle of the green
  • Hazard information
  • Plays Like distance and club recommendations
  • Current shot distance
  • Shot and putt tracking
  • Penalty tracking
  • Flag position marking

Golfers can even ask for their current shot distance to find out how far they just hit that drive without taking their phone out of their pocket. Responses are spoken through the golfer's phone speaker, earbuds or connected Bluetooth speaker. Click itself is the controller. It does not contain a speaker.

Built for Golfers Who Want Better Data Without More Work

Golf Pad developed Click around a simple principle: the easier it is to collect good data, the more useful that data becomes. Tracking shots provides golfers with a much clearer picture of their game after the round, helping them understand their real club distances, identify strengths and weaknesses, and make practice more productive.

For golfers who already love statistics and shot tracking, Click makes capturing that information easier. For golfers who have avoided tracking because it feels like too much work, Click provides a simple place to start.

Golf should be fun first, and keeping track of your game shouldn't feel like homework. We wanted Click to change that: keep your phone in your pocket, click a button and keep playing. One click for a distance, two to log the shot you just hit, and staying on top of your stats becomes part of the fun instead of a break from it.

Small, Secure and Built for the Course

Golf Pad Click measures approximately one inch by one inch, making it easy to wear without getting in the way of the swing. Its secure clip allows it to attach to a golfer's belt, pocket, hat or other convenient location. It is designed for long battery life and quick access throughout the round, with no screen to navigate and no additional device competing for a golfer's attention.

What's in the box: the Golf Pad Click retail box, the Bluetooth button, and the clip system it attaches to

And at $39.99 USD, with free shipping in the US and a $12 flat rate internationally, Click provides an affordable alternative for golfers who want convenient GPS information and shot tracking but don't want to rely on a smartwatch or repeatedly interact with their phone.

Know Your Game, One Click at a Time

Golf Pad Click isn't designed to replace the Golf Pad app. It's designed to make the app easier to use while actually playing golf. The phone handles the GPS, intelligence and audio; Click provides the simple physical interface. For the most accurate GPS information and shot distances, golfers should keep their phone on their person while playing, such as in a pocket or belt case.

Whether the goal is to track every shot, understand real club distances, get better post-round statistics, manage the course more effectively or simply hear a yardage without reaching for a phone, Golf Pad Click puts that information within a click.

Golf Pad's next update will include automatically assigning clubs to shots tracked using historical distances and user input.
